Muscovy - All Colours
Muscovies are a lovely gentle breed. When hand raised, muscovies become gentle giants. Muscovies are a specie in their own right, some people think that they are closely related to geese, but they are DUCKS. Muscovies are a large breed, with the males weighing up to 10kg. They are very easy to sex, with boys being double the size of the girls.

Tribe of honk are working on producing many pure of self colours of muscovy, on the process there are many slightly off colours containing white which are sold as pets. Currently we have about 10 different colours including black, blue, bronze, lavender white, ripples (unavailable) and working on buff.

Muscovies have caruncles (red fleshy growths) which appear round the eyes and fore head, these increase in size with age. I love the little crest which eccects intelf on the top of their head when they are alarmed or excited. Muscovies make very little noise and MAKE ECCELENT MOTHERS FOR ALL WATERFOWL. Musovies are less messy than mallard ducks (their fecies are more solid) making them easier to keep clean.

Muscovies are a heavy breed and are very hardy. They are a good breed for children as they rarely have agression issues. Muscovies are very tough and easy to care for.
