Plymouth rocks are an old american breed. They were one of the traditional utility breeds, with the hens been used for eggs and the roosters for the family meat supply.
The Plymouth Rock come in a wide range of colours, with the most popular being the dark barred. They have lovely dark grey and white feathering, with the bars running around the bird. They lay large mid brown eggs, slightly less than the other utility breeds i keep.
The Plymouth rocks are very docile, and easy to handle.
